SlickSugar for the knee-high rock crowd

This is a post

SlickSugar began as a way for two friends, both of them mothers, to find an outlet where they could express their creative sides and include their children in the process.

They decided on a clothing line with the goal of creating "items that will inspire children to pick up an instrument, sing in the car or dance down the stairs." Needless to say, music is the common thread between the designs.

They also hope to appeal to parents through their use of nostalgia and vintage design. We think it works.

A portion of their sales is donated to the Mr. Holland's Opus Foundation, which "supports music education and its many benefits through the donation of new and refurbished musical instruments to underserved [sic] school and community music programs and individual students nationwide. http://www.mhopus.org/index.asp."

We love that movie! Oh, and we love helping the kids and stuff, too. Rock your kid out and support the cause.
