Did we fall asleep and dream ourselves back into the 90's when Claire Danes was the envy of teenage girls for kissing Leo DiCaprio in Romeo and Juliet and hanging out with dreamy Jordan every day on My So Called Life? We're not sure, but apparently Miss Danes is still celebrity enough to land a huge contract with Gucci.

She's the new face of their jewelry line. To be honest we're kind of amazed. While we think she's a fab actress who definitely doesn't work enough, that's sort of our point -- she's not exactly a super hot "it" girl right now.



But, no worries, she's gorgeous and definitely has a timeless look to her so Gucci can work with that. They think she'll still resonate with their target market. We'd be happy to see Claire's star on the rise again. And such a big deal with Gucci could definitely kick-start things for her -- hopefully soon, since her IMDb page shows she's currently filming one movie and after that has nothing in the works. She has great style, she just doesn't get out enough to show it off!
