To be fair, the clothing itself isn't all that bad. Not good, either, but not quite as "Go on, baby, and earn your lunch money the old fashioned way" as the ads make them appear. But seriously, who's going to want their daughter associated with the clothing in these ads? You know, besides Mrs. Knowles ...

It is unfortunate that you chose to interject race into this story. I'm a Black American woman and I have a daughter, and not only do I not dress this way, but I would never allow my daughter to dress that way either. If a Black person were to say that it was typical of all Whites to wear Confederate flag t-shirts, live in trailer parks, and chew tobacco, you would be outraged, and justifiably so, as those comments are as ignorant and stereotypical as the one you have made. As deplorable as I find this alleged "fashion" line and subsequent ad campaign, I find your attitude to be 100 times worse. You, my dear lady, are a reflection of everything that is wrong with this country. Shame on you.

I would not put a little girl in these clothes. There is something about it that just doesn't sit right with me. I want to know whos idea it was to put those shoes on that little girl....not cool. Little girls are supposed to look sweet.

If this style of clothing is sold at the big box, discount stores it will be the clothing that is worn by children. That is a sorry fact of life. IF you shop at Wal-Mart, etc. for school clothing this fall and if this is what is available on the rack, the parent buys it and the child wears it. Oh sure, there will be grumbling and mumbling but...

Over the top disgusting, one more avenue for the already rich and famous celebs to make gobs of money for doing absolutely nothing productive. Keep your little ones away from the mags, rags, movies and let them be children for as long as possible. These models are someones children, you parents are just as bad, anything for money!!!Thanksful mine are grown already, there was a time and no so long ago that you wouldn't put a young child in black let alone the garbage that is being shown on these kids. Let's all just say NO MORE!!!!!

What the hell is going on with this world? This money hungry slut for after the bucks that she's designed clothes that cause little kids to look like pedophile come and get me kids? Some one should wake that beotch up! None of my kids would ever be caught in such trashy clothes. I suggest if she wants to sell clothes (and I use the word clothes lightly) she should try to sell her line to "Sluts are us" or "Prostitute Wanna Be's". God forbid she ever has children! Wake up and smell those roses. Number one, get rid of the sex look, Two get over the hip hop theme and Three: Dress children like children, not little adults. And people wonder why kids have sex too early iin life, get raped and/or just lose out on childhood. Stop just trying to make a buck for the love of Goad.

I wish people would stop hatin on Beyonce. She's doing her thing supporting herself....please dont knock it. I dont see any of us out there tryin to do any better. Its a style, not a way of life, please do your research on "hip hop" before you compare!

Peaches, I agree! It sounds as if the people that are responding have no idea about hip OR fashion! First of all, the ads are designed to show how little girls play dress up. Not one woman can tell me that they never played in their mother's make-up or their clothes. If they say they didn't I would think they were lying! Let's get real people! We have a young black sista doing her thing and for some reason, we all must find something wrong with it. I don't see anything wrong with the clothes. I've seen little girls walking around looking ten times worse than this! It has nothing to do with the clothes, it's the parents that allow their children to look grown and trampy. I think there are much more serious things to worry about than Beyonce's clothing line.

Beyonce so does not need to support herself, I suspect she is a multimillionare as it is. And as for the clothes...we wonder why our children are pregnant when they are 12. It is time for kids to go back to being kids again and not small size adults. It is time for us to remember what growing up is really about. And that does not include high heels and make-up on a 5 year old
don 5-10-2008 @ 6:18PM
peaches: I am assuming you are about 12 years old, little girls should be dressed for their age, not little sex symbols
Sarah 5-10-2008 @ 7:18AM
When pedophiles make pictures like this we're all outraged, and rightly so. These are children, not dolls.

Do any of these little girls even look comfortable? no
Do any of them look like they are even having fun? no
It just comes off as wrong, especially when you see the looks on all of their faces.
Wendy 5-10-2008 @ 7:22AM
Amazing....buy these overpriced ghetto rags to ensure your daughter will end up getting pregnant at 12...DISGUSTING!

I think that with all there is out there wrong with the world today, that we do not need to add to the problems...our children already have it hard enough....why are they trying to make it more difficult...my question would be...would beyonce and her mother dress their child or grand children in this line of clothing really...and take them out on the streets and think that it was cute??? if so, there is an issue there...especially when it comes to raising a little girl in this world today. NO I WOULD NEVER BY MY GIRLS THIS CLOTHING, EVEN IF I COULD AFFORD IT....HECK THEY ARE NOT ALLOWED TO WEAR THE PANTS WITH WORDING ACROSS THEIR BUTTS....THAT'S NOT RIGHT...as they get older it will already be a challenge enough to keep them on the right path!!!!
some people understand that it may be just for fun...but do you realize that there are people out there who will get the wrong impression upon seeing little girls dressed like this....NOW THAT IS SCAREY...BUT IT IS TRUE.....isn't Beyonce rich enough without having to go to this level....

I fully agree with what md had to say. Our world is bad enough for little girls without having someone teach them the worst aspect of it; and this indeeds teaches them that. Why would any deceit, self respecting woman dress her little girl in this kind of filth.

...and now their dreams is true??? Wow you sound like the students I teach. I really do try to teach them proper English...but when you have uneducated parents like you talking like you have no clue what the English language is...well teachers are just left helpless.
