Claudia Schiffer topless in Vogue Germany

Seems like there's a new celebrity trend afoot: going topless for Vogue! Just last week word broke that Eva Mendes would be appearing semi-clothed (and weird looking) in this month's Vogue Italia, and today we learn that Claudia Schiffer will be baring all (or at least most) for Vogue Germany.

Not that posing sans-clothing is anything new for celebrities, but the recent rash of nudie portraits for Vogue in particular has us wondering: is naked the new black? How long before we see C-List celebs trying to keep up by taking it off for lesser known mags? Can we expect to see Courtney Love or Britney Spears reviving their fledgling careers by posing for Mirabella?
Let's hope not. Fingers crossed, this mysterious new trend will die out before it jumps the shark.

We are not "embarrassed" by the human body. People with morals don't want it to be used for exploitation. And BTW, it's called photoshop!!!

To Susan!
I agree with you 100%! Jesus also Said that to him who is pure, everything is pure. To him who is corrupt, everything is corrupt. Anyone who has a dirty and warped mind thinks evil about the human body! This is also a very serious afront to Almighty God, Who Created us in His Own Image!

"Keeping 'our' fingers crossed" that there will be fewer photos of beautiful naked women? No offense, but aren't "we" being just a little bit "heterophobic?"

what does it matter if she's 37 or 47? Age doesn't matter if you take care of yourself and have confidence. Claudia Schiffer is a timeless beauty!

Wait.... I can here the herd of buffalo coming.... all the fat ugly women will soon protest this and claim it offends them!

First of all, it's 'hear', not 'here'. Second, not all fat women are ugly. And finally, not all fat women take offense to nude or semi-nude photos. Some women, fat or not, just don't appreciate the art of the woman's body. But, a lot of men ARE pigs and take it for granted and just think "ooh naked women, boobs".

Well, I don't know about the stampeding buffalo, and you would have to define what is “fat” and what is “ugly;” probably by your standards I am both fat and ugly, since you seem quite judgmental. However, I AM NOT OFFENDED - I think she is beautiful, no matter what her age. How can anything created by God be ugly?

sweetnskippy is a disgusting male chauvinist pig. And what do you look like....something tells me you are no Brad Pitt. You are a woman hater.

I was a pre-teen when these were making it big. Claudia, Christi, Linda, Naomi, etc. Everyone that thought they new about fashion wanted to look like and dress like these girls then. Claudia still looks graciously beautiful and she looks more like 24-27 than 37. Knowing that she is still as beautiful as before is really great. I think she could go out with mud on her face and her hair standing on end and look pretty smashing. Well, enough about that. Just good to know she is still around and bringing sexy back.

Comments like: "that's what's wrong with America that we don't do as other countries do".... Well, answering to that - thats what used to be right about America that we did not believe or do as the other countries did that's why we were the number one most richest country and not them. That's why all of these Europeans ran their butts over here to America to get money and live off a glamourous nation that they did not have in Europe and now that too many of them are over here they are changing our laws, stealing money and doing whatever their evil selfs can come up with. Notice how America looks like Europe now and were going down to third-world if this crap doesn't stop. They have little freedom over there but their allowed to do a bunch of nasty stuff - and now this crap is here in America and we are no longer the number one country. We don't need to do any thing like Europe but get a lot of them who set out to destroy America and give all our money away to foreign peoples and countries - get them out of this country.

So all that's wrong with America is foreign in origin? I guess that explains our recent foreign policy... and the disastrous results thereof. Now, perhaps this is only my opinion (which is all any of us have), but it seems that whenever our country's actions become particularly mulish, in that we pursue a course that has been repeatedly debunked by multiple sources, and when we ignore input from all quarters in favor of doing what we want (because, of course, what else matters?), THAT is when our country goes downhill. Standing up for our values is all well and good, but not if we're supporting something out of stubborness or a desire to be different. That whole "Lone Ranger" thing only works if the values we're upholding deserve the consideration.
By the way, whatever else you say about foreigners, they tend to spell English better than most Americans. Your post is case in point (you could stand to work on grammar, too).

Oh Susan,You're sooooo openminded and hip.Just like alll the rest of the nitwits that think everything done in Europe is avante-garde and America is hopelessly backward.
Having morals and self respect, including not flaunting all you've got anytime someone with a camera asks,is not a bad thing,self-promotion by exposition is.But then I doubt you'll understand that.

avante garde and hip? My adult children would laugh at that one. Never thought of myself that way .Open minded(yes) and non judgemental of others. Just because her morals aren't the same as yours does that make her wrong. I guess it does in your eyes
