Kylie Minogue unveils geisha look for her new tour

Anyone who knows anything about Aussie songstress Kylie Minogue knows that she is always sure to choose some flamboyant stage wear, most memorably the Moulin Rouge-style costumes she showcased on her last tour, which was appropriately titled Showgirl.
We've talked before about her Spiderman-themed outfit (or pretty sexy designer threads, depending on your opinion) but now she's unveiled pictures of the rest of her tour outfits for the world's press to admire/gape at in astonishment.
The designs for her latest tour, called simply KylieX2008, have all been designed by John Paul Gaultier (once a designer for Madonna, who Kylie has been known to copy emulate). The outfits are all Japanese-inspired, featuring kimonos and traditional pale make-up with red lips. Most striking of all is a picture of tiny Kylie in full geisha regalia, in which she looks out of this world (Although that hairdo must weigh a ton).
Having survived breast cancer (which caused her to put part of her last tour on hold), it's good to see that, with this new show and her recent appearance on the cover of German Vogue, Kylie is feeling fit and ready to rock (OK, pop) again.
However, none of this is for our benefit. While Kylie is loved in the UK and her native Australia (as well as pretty much everywhere else) and while she has had occasional success in the US, she doesn't feel she has cracked the American market - and has no plans to try again, according to Catwalk Queen.
Which, if you ask us, is a darn shame.
