Like 90% of fashion, this look was made just. for. you. Also great if you are pregnant. For the tall, skinny, pregnant super models reading this, congratulations, and sorry that you have so few friends. We're just jealous.

For the rest of us, beware the long, full, untailored skirt! It will add pounds to your poochie belly! It will create visual wideness around your hips! It will stumpy-stumperson your less than long legs! Maxi-dresses are not your friend.

Except, well, there is one situation in which this dress style works for everyone.

If you really just can't or don't want to wear underwear, for whatever reason, then a maxi-dress makes sense. Go for it. Enjoy the breeze, but take care when you're exiting cars. There are photographers everywhere!
