We've known girls who had a natural talent for painting their nails. They could do left and right hands and feet with equal ease -- a French manicure was no challenge for them. And they never ended up with nail polish all over their digits.

We were not so lucky.



However, we were also too cheap and too impatient to get our nails professionally done, so through years of practice, we learned how to avoid painting entire toes (or at least we learned the most efficient way to peel the polish off the skin -- after a shower, just so you know). We still have friends, however, who go in every couple of weeks for a pedicure, or at least a professional polish change. Truth be told, their feet don't look all that much better than ours.
