Nail Polish Summer School: How many colors in your nail polish rainbow?

We have color promiscuity. As soon as we have our nails done one color, we see a newer, prettier color and suffer an irresistible urge to trade up.More than once, we've been halfway through a pedicure, and an OPI ad in Self Magazine made us scramble out of the chair to grab a different, new more exciting color.
If it wasn't so schizophrenic and tacky, we'd paint each nail a different color. And yes, we are sure it looks crazy because we did it many times when we were eight. And sixteen. And twenty-five.
We envy color consistent girls. But we crave the spice of variety! A life limited to pink, coral or black is too monochromatic for us. How about you? Do you have a signature color? Or are you all over the spectrum like us?

I am attracted to a certain shade of pink. I buy and rebuy this shade so many times (because I love it so much) and I dont even realize I am doing it until I get home and see the other 4 bottles of a similar shade.
I wish there was an ipod for my nail polish. I want to carry a library of all my shades with me to the store so I know what shades I have and what I need.

I do the same thing. OPI often will take a popular shade when they have a new line coming out and change it by a color molecule. So cha ching cherry looks an awful lot like all rose lead to rome, but all rose lead to rome has more irredescence. therefore we need BOTH, right? i thought so until i realized, like you, that i had 3-4 of basically the same shade. i gave a ton of them to my mom and sister, otherwise you don't use them fast enough and they get thick. now i stick to my favorites. takes up less room, too :)
