BUMP: T-shirts for bellies
Whit Honea is a slacker, a borderline degenerate, and a daydream believer. He's also our resident expert on casual chic. If it's comfortable, and not heinous, he's all over it. He's quite charming, really.Dads don't get a whole lot of respect. We know this and we feel the pain. We blame Michael Keaton.
That is why our discovery of BUMP was such a surprise. BUMP, in the case of this Australian company, is actually an acronym for Babies Under Manufacturing Process. They carry an array of t-shirts geared towards the belly, be it the blossoming baby bump or the sympathy (and/or beer) filled gut on the dad-to-be.
Yes, that's right- they make shirts for men! It's a company specializing in maternity clothing and they actually took the time to recognize the usually shunned X-factor, or in this case, XY.
BUMP shares "designs which are fun, sexy, stylish, comfortable and simply [bump]alicious with other proud expecting mamas & papas." That's a novel concept, and one that is long overdue.
Cheers, BUMP.
