Sophia Kokosalaki does denim

Something must be in the Evian water.

Much like Lanvin's Alber Elbaz, designer Sophia Kokosalaki is looking to expand her luxe line by way of a denim collection this year.

In July, Sophia will release an all black six piece capsule collection of jackets, pants, mini skirts, and shorts with the designer's signature lyre emblem and graphic stitching emblazoned on each piece.

Made from stretch Japanese denim and described as "sophisticated with a London-street-style feel," the line will retail between $386 to $1,236.

Expensive? Most definitely. But once you factor in how much a typical avant-garde Kokosalaki frock can cost, this is practically a bargain (for the rich, mind you).

On the looming diffusion-collection-whatever, Sophia tells Women's Wear Daily: "This collection is very me. I wear denim all the time and I always wear black."

Oh, Sophia. We wear denim all the time, too. But it's of the $100 or less variety. However, if we could afford to splurge on your bougie skinny jeans, we would. As that one commercial is always saying, "You're worth it."

In the meantime, we'll be in Gap buying boot cuts and medium washed wide legs.
