Gisele Bundchen buys a jet

Gisele isn't one of the celebrities whose fashion line is going nowhere. Her Ipanema sandals collection earns the supermodel a reported $6 million a year. But, she's still going to need to sell a lot more flip flops if she wants to cover the cost of the new private jet she just bought.Flying in style will set the Brazilian beauty back $50 million dollars. That's a not small chunk of change for anyone -- even a lady who is the 16th richest woman in the entertainment industry.
Her new plane will be ready in 2010, and will be able to carry up to 19 passengers. That's not too shabby -- now she'll be able to travel with an entourage of hair and makeup artists, personal chefs and trainers, and everybody else an A-lister needs to be camera ready.
We'd be lying if we said we weren't a little jealous. But, hey, on a blogger's salary in another 600 years we too might be able to afford our own private jet!

What a shame (or sham) that someone believes that they are so important that they NEED a $50million jet. Not that I wish the wheels fall off of it and it skids down the runway tearing the bottom off on it's maiden voyage... WAIT, I actually do!

Well, at least there's one person who won't have to waste time standing on a check-in line, worry about taking her shoes off or having makeup confiscated by TSA nazis, or pay a surcharge for an extra piece of luggage. Good for her!

Well if I had that kind of money to burn, I'd burn it too.
Don't spout that holier-than-thou crap about "what about the poor people". Gisele does charity work, but she earned her money so she can spend it how she wants. By the way ITLDOIT2, I bet $100 you're living with a nice HDTV, a car, decent clothes, etc.... we're all guilty of spending $ on ourselves. Just because we can't afford a private jet doesn't mean we have to begrudge someone who can.

Im pretty sure,even in this day and age,my wife and I could live very nice on 1 million dollars.Id get her a nice ring,new car,top of the line computer,and a home on a lake in the country.Myself,a harley davidson. Why have so much? Just live on the rest. I can't imiagine haveing all that. Help out the kid's like childerns hospital and be happy..all that money to blow...must be nice,but i would'nt want it.

Meanwhile--when will you all stop being haters and relax and LET PEOPLE SPEND THEIR MONEY THE WAY THEY CHOOSE TO! They earned it--no one chides you for buying more useless, and harmful to the environment stuff, that you buy at wal-mart, target, macy's, lowe's and what not--so relax. You go spend your money that you earned YOUR way and let them spend THEIR money that THEY earned THEIR way.

If she can afford it without going broke or starving, good for her. She works hard for her money, and if this brings her pleasure, I'm delighted for her.
