This is tragic. Model Ruslana Korshunova, from Kazakhstan, is dead at the young age of 21. She committed suicide, jumping off her balcony in Manhattan on Saturday.



Ruslana was a girl who seemingly had everything -- amazing beauty, a highly successful career as a top fashion model and friends and family who adored her.



When she began her career, at the tender young age of 17, she was known for having braces and long Rapunzel-like hair that reached past her butt.

But, Ruslana wasn't satisfied with her fame in the industry and longed for something more. In March, she wrote on a Russian social networking site, "I'm so lost, will I ever find myself?"

Her ex-boyfriend said she was no longer happy in the fashion world, "I guess, suddenly, she was no longer a new girl. She was depressed about that. She'd made her money and she wanted to get out of the modeling business badly."
