Marilyn Monroe's style has influenced countless red carpet choices, and now it appears she'll be posthumously influencing countless non-famous young women, as well.

WWD reports that New Jersey-based Bradford Licensing Associates and U.K.-based Blues Clothing have joined forces to create a Marilyn Monroe celebrity clothing line.

They plan to create a line of pants, tops, dresses, and undies to appeal to "young adults." And, while the line will boast the icon's name, it doesn't sound like much of her actual style will be incorporated -- it seems more likely that her picture will just be plastered on a bunch of t-shirts.

We could be wrong, and we hope we are, because this doesn't sound like the best way to honor a legend.
