Justin Timberlake didn't want to be the face of his own brand

Even though Justin Timberlake founded the Los Angeles based William Rast clothing company, he was hoping he wouldn't have to do double duty as an owner/model. That is, until the creative directors came up with a great plan.

They sold him on the idea of Justin as an actor, rather than just J.T. as the face of the brand.

Johan Lindeberg said, "We came up with this idea for him to play a role as this guy named William Rast. So it isn't meant to be Justin, it's Justin playing a role, as an actor. When we explained the idea, he instantly loved it and got really into building the profile of this character."

Justin will play the part of rebel boy while top model Erin Wasson shoots as Birdie, his love interest. The two of them may even come back for more, since the screenplay was written in a way that would allow it to be continued. We like the choice of Erin for this part, since she has a very edgy look.

And since Justin isn't Justin without music, he also wrote the score to the shorts. You'll be able to check them out soon on www.williamrastmovie.com.
