Tip of the day: Help me help you

Filed under: Fashion, Beauty, Makeup, How to Wear

Most women use foundation on a daily basis. However, many don't know that their product could be doing a hell of a lot more than they bargained for.

Find a foundation that not only matches your tone but also helps with your skin's most basic needs.

Pimples: Many women use a foundation to cover up pimples. The best formulas are oil-free with salicylic acid, so they don't clog pores and help zap zits while they're on.

Fine lines: Many foundations enhance fine lines. A lightweight formula that has firming properties are your best bet to conceal rather than reveal.

Dryness: Dry skin plus foundation ain't pretty. A creamier version that is tinged with antioxidants will help create glowing, moisturized skin.

Even tone: Matte products help to cover up sun spots or redness. Luckily in many of today's top formulas, additional light reflecting particles and/or creamy textures further combat problems.

Try these products on for size. There's something for every budget, whether high or low end.
