Most women have learned certain beauty tricks that keep them from looking older than they are (or looking their age, as the case may be). In Hollywood, youthful looks seem to be the primary goal of many actresses, so naturally one would imagine that it's the one place where women would make sure to find a fresh, age-appropriate 'do.

However, that's not always the case.

For example, poor Eva Longoria has been making headline for her new hairstyle. She reportedly chopped it off for her role on Desperate Housewives because she's trying to look a little dumpier. On paper, it should be cute, but in execution ... not so much.

Why? The primary problem is that it doesn't look styled, but it doesn't look playfully messy, either. Short, younger-looking tresses have a bit of an edge to them -- perhaps they're a little piecey, or maybe they're artfully tousled. Either way, if you opt to crop, make sure you're selecting a style that stays within your age group.

its not a dumpy look it just doesnt fit her. not everyone looks good with short hair and she is one of those people.

Actually, I think Donald Trump is an absolute genious for creating a hairstyle that makes it seem as if he is not bald when is really is. All he needs to do is trim it shorter, that's all!

I love that there is a symbol for Target behind her while she wears expensive designer clothing and looks dumpy.
