Was the Jolie-Pitt baby cover Photoshopped?

Last night we brought you news of the Brangelina twins splashed across the cover of People magazine. Since then you'd have been lucky to read any article on any website about anything at all without running into photos of the smiling pair and their new adorable offspring. But wait, are they really that adorable -- or did People magazine's photo editors use the magic of technology to make them look a little, erm, sunnier? If you look at the enlarged photo at right (full version here), you'll notice that little Vivienne is smiling. Cute, right? Yeah...except that, according to Parenting magazine, babies don't smile from external simulation until 2-4 months.
So either Brad and Angie had their babies in secret a month and a half earlier than we all thought, or People is working really hard to get their $14 million worth.

Of course the pictures have been photoshopped even the parents don't look as plastic as they usually do in real life. The wax element on their faces have been removed.
I was actually expecting an avalanche of comments all over the blogs but the response from posters/commentators have been very low.

Babies can "smile" when they're too young to understand social stimulation because of gas. While not as cute, it's a distinct possibility that little Vivienne hasn't been tremendously photoshopped, but is experiencing some indigestion.

Newborns do sometimes appear to be smiling~I don't think that is a photoshop smile, they just caught her with her mouth open. But the worst of those photoshop disasters is the Gwynneth on W magazine. When I first saw that I really thought that the magazine put the wrong name of the person on the cover as whoever that is doesn't look anything like the Gwynneth I've seen in other items. However, I am really happy about the girl/boy twins, I have a twin brother and it's been alot of fun. Kelly Clarkson? That skinny? Do I believe or care if she has ever said "I Love You"? NOT

Yes New borns do smile. A friend of mine, who became a Gramdpa for the first time recently, sent me a pic of his new grandaughter at 3 days old. She had the cutest smile on her face. I still have that pic on my cell phone.
