Styledash Giveaway: Jawbone Hands-free Bluetooth Headset
Filed under: Accessories, Fashion, News

Now that states like California and Washington have "no cellphones in the car" laws in effect, it seems like everyone has a hands-free unit set stuck in their ears. A few smart manufacturers, like Jawbone, realized that if women are going to use these items, they better work and they better be pretty.
Our giveway this week, a Jawbone hands-free headset, meets both of those requirements. The luxurious rose gold finish and small but elegant shape puts it in a league with designer sunglasses. Jawbone claims to have 15 times the noise reduction of other headsets because of their Noise Assassin technology. We can't confirm the specific metric, but this demo from their site sure is impressive. And we could actually hear our friend on the other end of the phone, even though she was in a car. With the windows open!

The most important place I would use this is in the car. Between running various errands and driving the kids to all their activities this would be perfect for me. Also, I've had a hard time finding a hands-free headset to fit my ear comfortably and the jawbone looks like it would be perfect for me.

I would love to have the jawbone for use while on my phone in the car. I think it would make it easier for me to hear the people I'm talking to- I always have it on speakerphone and at the loudest volume possible when I'm in the car.

ever since it's been made law in california, I need one when driving. I haven't found one I like and this one seems pretty cool.

The jawbone is much more attractive than the Bluetooth, and I will be legal when I drive.

This is the best looking hands free device I have seen yet! I definitely need one of these while driving here in the Bay Area. Fashion and technology definitely needed to get together on this device now that it has become law.

The California hands-free law went into effect six weeks ago and I'm STILL trying to find an affordable bluetooth device that will stay on my ear (I have small ears) and block out noise! I get zero reception in my apartment and have no land line so I have to make all of my appointments and calls while wandering the parking lot or, for more privacy, while I'm in the car.
My cell phone doesn't have a port for a corded headset, so I've been using the speaker phone, much to everyone's annoyance. I've been lusting over the Jawbone Aliph II for awhile now because it's lightweight, small, great looking, and cancels out ambient noise... but who can afford one these days? I barely had enough for a grocery trip last week.
This headset would reeeeaally help me out!

Oooh, I love this! I need one so i can actually talk at home on my cell and get things done at the same time. Right now I only dream of cleaning, laundry, ironing, etc. that I can easily do while talking on a stylish, hands-free headset. Great post.

I need one while cooking since I am forever getting phone calls at that time. I won't get any all day long but the minute I put a spatula in my hands...there goes the phone (HELP)!!!
Please count me in, I'd love to win!!!

In San Diego (as in the rest of the civilized world), I need a bluetooth headset for handsfree in the car only. NEVER for anytime I'm strolling through a public place where people can't tell if I'm on the phone or just plain crazy.

I live in California so using this whenever and wherever I go is a must. Something that cute and small could even stay on my ear and it wouldn't bother me.

I love the looks of the jawbone! Calls on a speakerphone are really terrible! My drives and calls would both be improved! Thanks!

I live in the Chicago-area where it is also illegal to drive downtown while on a cellphone (nor would you want to--driving downtown is hard enough!). I am working on a getting a new job and returning a dozen phone calls a day to the HR and Personnel department....while attempting to shout into the "handsfree" option on my phone (which sounds like a bat cave). It would be nice to have something sleek and stylish, yet functional to carry me over into my new job.
