You too can own a limited edition Karl Lagerfeld teddy bear now -- for the measly price of just $1,500. Did you hear that people?!? We're talking about a stuffed animal for 4 figures. That's just wrong.

W Magazine is actually encouraging people to get in on this crazy idea. They said, "Leave it to Karl Lagerfeld to create a teddy bear that is imperious, lethally chic and yet totally endearing."

Is that what children want these days -- toys that are imperious and lethally chic? Be afraid, be very afraid if that's what the world is coming to.

Karl himself says, "Bears are very nice, as long as you are nice to them ... Nothing scares me more than people with some doll collection. Frightening."

Shouldn't he more frightened by the fact that he's hawking a toy which costs more than a lot of people's cars? A teddy bear that costs over a thousand dollars is yet another slap in the face to the average working person in the U.S. struggling through this recession.
