Studio JSPR re-invents the dusty, old Louis XV, arm chair with fresh colors that pop in a unique, sponge-like material called Soft Skin®. Jasper van Grootel, a 2005 alumnus of Design Academy Eindhoven, heads up Studio JSPR from The Netherlands.

From the Plastic Fantastic collection of sofas, chairs, dressers, chairs, and chandeliers, the Voltaire lounge chair (shown here) comes in blue, green, yellow, orange, red, pink, purple, plum, black and white, available via special order at the Conran Shop.

Suitable for indoor or outdoor usage, the Voltaire is cozy and soft with a warm, textural sensation. It's a familiar shape, with a beechwood frame, ornate detailing and a severe color update. Another version comes with a dozen Swarovski crystals set into the back.

And while we'd argue Swarovski is totally played out and yawn boring, this chair is a standout and guaranteed show stopper for any home or office. It can fit into the most modern environment or punch up traditional decor with a comfortable, regal quality.
