Dressing Wrong Age

When Stars Dont Dress Their Age

Stars don't always pick the most age-appropriate outfits -- some try to cling to their youth, while others age themselves in granny-inspired get-ups. Celebrity expert MK, from gossip site Popbytes, and Stylelist.com weigh in the stars' poor fashion choices and pick looks the suit the celebs. First up? Demi Moore.

Once you have graduated there is simply no excuse for dressing like a school girl. The bow, the too short skirt, the Mary Jane heels, this outfit is at least 25 years too young for Moore.

Moore truly looks fabulous for her age and this dress shows it off in all the right aways. The v-neck and mirrored slit in the skirt revel just the right amount of skin.

Miley Cyrus, 16, Dressing Too Old
For a formal event like the Golden Globes this dress could have been perfectly appropriate for the young singer. The problem here is the fit not the frock. Cryus's team amplified her cleavage rather than tailoring the gown to keep her covered up. It's hard to believe this is the same girl who's naked back caused a scandal last year!

This adorable color blocked dress Cyrus wore to the premiere of Bolt is age appropriate and fashion forward.

Jessica Alba, 27, Dressing Too Old
Silk pajamas should never been worn outside the house by anyone, least of all by a young new mom with a kickin' bod.

This draped gown is a much better look for Alba. Wearing funky trends (like metal cuffs and giant flowers) is one of the joys of fashion when you are young.

Nicolette Sheridan, 45, Dressing Too Young
Is this a dress or a shirt? If the answer isn't immediately obvious it shouldn't be worn by anyone no matter what their age.

If you are going to go strapless in your 40s this is the way to do it. The dress falls at the knee and the origami inspired folds on the front make the style more sophisticated.

Vanessa Hudgens, 20, Dressing Too Old
This dress is too drab and shapeless for the High School Musical star. Wearing a blah gown and an old fashioned updo adds years to the fresh faced Hudgens.

This short 60s-inspired look is perfect for the young star. Keeping her hair loose and pairing a funky print peep toe with the white dress plays perfectly with her age.
