This season, flat boots are supposed to be all the rage, and we're geeked about this for two reasons. First of all, it's always nice to have flats in fashion for the comfort factor, if nothing else. And secondly, tall, casual boots are the perfect way to take some of our summer dresses into the fall season.

Since boots don't tend to be cheap, we want to get the most bang for our buck, which is why we're leaning toward tan, and we just love these Jessica Simpson 'Bodey' Tan Boots., $167.99 at Heels.com. (Apparently, we're not alone -- they're sold out at the moment.) We love that they're simple, but have just a bit of detail with the strap to keep them interesting. And, they have a full side zip, so you won't have to do the seriously unsexy struggling-with-my-boot dance. You know what we mean.

However, they'd be worth the weight. Not only could you wear them right away with floaty florals and cute maxi dresses, but you could continue wearing them throughout the winter with skinny jeans tucked in or over tights.
