Jordan's new clothing line means your horse can dress like a whore too

Katie "Jordan" Price is a hardcore equestrian. She wants people to know that she even plans to complete in the 2012 Olympics. In fact, she's so serious about her riding that she has designed a line of clothing for riders and their horses.

Because nothing says serious equestrian like neon pink leg warmers for your stallion. But, Katie says you don't have to be a horse lover to enjoy her new line, "There's something here for everyone – all ages and sizes, the horsey and the non-horsey. It's fashionable and stylish but at the same time functional and wearable. And the horsewear is just fab. Your horse is going to look so cool!"

We really should have seen this coming. Since Katie has done everything from a line of sex toys to children's books it was only a matter of time before she got into the business of dressing animals as well. She's absolutely ridiculous -- and becoming ridiculously rich off of these crazy endeavors. So who are we to criticize -- work it and ride 'em, Katie!

Unless the horse in question is a mare owned by a seven year old girl, I think this qualifies as cruelty to animals. Fortunately for my horse, he's a stallion and I'm 36. As such, he has a much more tasteful wardrobe, and any polish on his hooves is black or clear, not eye-clawing pink.

And what is with the "rider" dressing this way? High heels like that would be a hazard in the barn, and I simply can't take her seriously as a rhorsewoman when she's dressed like that. Ever hear of breeches? Boots? Wrangler jeans? So I'm ignoring the tacky creature, or I'll go on about it all night.

In short, I suppose the horse's "clothing" is alright for Barbie and company, but other than that...pass the eyebleach.

Goes to prove people have more money than common sense, I guess.

The only time I've ever seen more pink on a single horse was when I was stuck for a costume for an end-of-camp show and decided the big ranch horse-esque gelding I was riding ought to be a girl for a day. We proceeded to paint him hot pink with hair spray, tie pink & purple flowers on his neck, and put braids in his mane, complete with pink hair bands.

Is that the effect they're going for, here?

It's stupidity like this that make reasonable people see "fashion" as a ridiculous waste of money and time. I don't care what color halter she puts on her horse, and I'm sure he doesn't care either, but she might want to learn to apply polo wraps correctly before doing a photo shoot. And the lead rope should never be held in a loop, always folded (a safety thing). Basic horsemanship skills could come in handy if she's headed for the Olympics in 2012.

OMG! Even my mare would have stomped me if I dressed her like this! The only idiots that will fall for her crap are NON-horse people, wanna be 12 year olds, and guys like Harold.
The worst thing is that she wants to represent the USA in the olympics!? Dressed like that? The USA will be the laughing stock of the stables!
If she wants to dress like a slut, maybe she should ride for some other country that would appreciate her "talent"
