Cindy McCain's RNC Outfit worth over $300k!
Filed under: Accessories, CELEBRITY STYLE, Fashion, Celebrity, News, Best of the Season

Whoa, Cindy. Way to bring your common touch to the Republican National Convention! According to the experts at Vanity Fair, the total cost of crisp-featured Cindy McCain's mustard yellow ensemble from Tuesday night tipped the scales to the tune of $313,000-ish.
In contrast, poor Laura Bush was practically wearing gardening clothes, with an outfit that was in the $3,500-$4,300 range.
Actually, they were both in Oscar de la Renta. The big difference -- and we do mean big -- was Cindy's choice of jewelry, including a pair of 3 carat diamond earrings, estimated to cost about $280,000.
Vanity Fair does point out that they only cost that much if they're real. Right! Because there's a sliver of a chance that Cindy McCain showed up on TV wearing "a really good fake" anything besides her boobs.
The magazine did not speculate on how much the total cost would increase if we included the pre-convention Botox touch up and hair highlighting.

I keep trying to be objective, but all I see is Catwoman. How far would $300K if one shopped at Walmart?

Cindy McCain and her family are worth a lot of money. She can wear whatever she wants if she's paying for it. But then I don't want to hear the word "Elistist" thrown at the Obamas ever again.

Cindy, your face from the top to about your upper lip is about 20 yrs newer/younger than your chin and neck.. Not a good shot by any means.. Laura Bush looks beautiful. Fresh, healthy and alive. And Cindy, don't get sick or have a crippling accident, old boy Johnny will leave and divorce ya and marry another younger beauty. QUICK!> Why isn't the info out there about the 1st Mrs John McCain??

I think you are a fool. I'm pretty sure their outfit hair included costs way less than catwoman McCain's outfit+botox injections. For future reference please learn how to spell its cost not cause.

Cindy can wear whatever she wants. She and her family are worth millions. They've worked hard and should prosper. That is the message the RNC was trying to get out to delegates and voters. That said, knowing that she'd be in the critical media eye during the RNC, one would think she'd tone down the wardrobe just a bit.

are you dumb? at least idiotic. "They worked hard and should prosper, so instead of contributing to charitable funds like a proper first lady and representative of a nation should do, you should spend $280K on a pair of earrings smaller than my finger". I promise you that is not the intended message at all, and if it was; she had the entire night to give a speech didn't she?

Did "common man" John McCain's wife Cindy get Botox for the RNC? You be the judge:

I have no problem with what Cindy McCain or Michelle Obama wear. I would however, like to know if the people who are wowing about Mrs. McCain's wardrobe are interested in the person running for office. Mr. McCain has years of experience when put along side Mr. Obama. Mr. Obama's mouth has become his greatest problem. However, the press loving him as they all seem to do, forgive him any and all transgressions. I certainly hope they all hold stock in Mr. Obama's career or lack thereof. It will have to sustain them for the coming 4 years if he is elected. Forget the outfits and concentrate on experience. PLEASE!

MaryLyn, thanks for coherent, fair-minded comments. It's amazing to me how mean-spirited and ignorant some of the commentors are. The real issue here is who will be the best president, not what the wives wear/don't wear and if they do or don't have botox. Let's not forget that John Kerry got botox. Oh my! Does it only matter if it's a Republican???

Laura Bush and Cindy McCain are each attractive in their own way. It doesn't matter whether botox, fake boobs, earrings worth over 200 grand, make up or fashion are a part of either one of their every day lives. What matters is how they handle the job of being First Lady or future First Lady. Perhaps Michelle Obama should take a few lessons from Laura Bush and Cindy McCain on fashion. She seems to have NO fashion sense. And whether we like it or not, the First Lady of the United States needs to know how to look appealing. Sorry, but it does matter!! Lastly, most of you women making such ugly remarks about Cindy McCain might need to tone it down a bit. Give her a break.....she is very pretty, rich, and smart. it Seems that if those critical of her had had any class at all, they would give her half a chance to prove her self, not be pre judgemental!!

All of you all are very ignorant. This is ridiculous, especially with what's going on in this country. This outfit just screams " I could care less about the american people and their struggles, I just can't relate...I'm still trying to figure out how many estates we have" You shouldn't even consider yourselves americans if you decide to vote for an old man who is about to kill over and a retard who can't give a
straight answer during interviews. If they win...you mind as well
KILL YA SELF!

Cindy McCain needs to head for Club Med or get some more Botox with her millions and get off the platform with her negativity. She's hurting the McCain campaign.

Cindy and her $300,000 plus dress does not relate to the majority of middle class people.
