Forget the little black dress -- the little white dress is going to take it's place. Well, maybe not, as the LBD is a classic that will never go out of style, but Fashion Week in New York in these past couple days has shown us that it's always good to mix things up a little bit.
We tend to think of black as the color of sophistication while white is for the young and pure only. But an LWD doesn't necessarily have to mean virginal.

To pull off a little white dress for a cocktail party, without looking too fresh faced, pair it with heavy accessories -- we love that Carolina Herrera puts a black belt and heavy black rimmed eyes on a model wearing a slim little white dress to make sure the look is still grown up.
