Alexander Herchcovitch post-show
Filed under: Fashion, News, Runway Report
In recent memory, Alexander Herchcovitch has been a surefire, top 10 show over New York Fashion Week. Everybody loves his showmanship, incorporation of busy prints and generally artistic approach.
After his S/S '09 show at Bryant Park, Herchcovitch says this season, "I mixed army uniforms with romantic and underwear-style." What did you learn about yourself as a designer this season? He answers, "We did a collection that was very hard to sew. I learned from that, it's a challange every season." He was, of course, referring the fabrications of delicate, underwear fabrics with heavier, military fabrics and the intricate ruffles that appreared throughout his 23 looks.
