Burt's Bees and Julianne Moore team up to promote "natural"
Filed under: CELEBRITY STYLE, Beauty, Celebrity
Lots of companies claim to be all natural, but when you read the labels (which you must do) the list of scary, crazy chemical ingredients is enough to turn you green - literally and figuratively.
Julianne Moore and Burt's Bees are partnering up to eliminate the need for all that fine print reading and make it easier for us to figure out when products are really all natural.
Along with some like-minded brands, Burt's Bees worked closely with the Natural Products Association to develop a The Natural Seal. When you see the seal you know that the ingredients are at least 95% natural.
Julianne Moore comes into the picture as part of the activity to raise awareness of this seal. With her glowing, translucent skin and natural beauty, she is the perfect spokesperson for this movement.
Monday, September 15th, is Burt's Bees Election Day and Julianne is going to cast the first vote at the Burt's Bees Voting Booth at Merchants' Gate at Columbus Circle in NYC.
It's hard to imagine anyone voting against natural, but the point is to get enough "votes" to show the makers of personal care products that consumers really do notice what's in their products, and we want them to be natural and non-toxic!
Even if you don't live in New York, you can still vote to support the new Natural Seal online at www.votefornatural.com, which will go live on Monday.
