A lot of the really, really good skincare companies put a lot of focus on products for new moms, kids, and babies, and for good reason -- this group needs high quality products. However, the rest of us like to be pampered, too, and vedaMAMA is taking good care of us. Really, really good care.

VedaMAMA is a part of vedaPURE, a collection of noncosmetic skincare products that uses "ancient ayuvedic principals of balance and health, herbal remedies for calming and soothing and the highest standards of excellence in modern care for ... chic sassy moms and hip 5th Avenue fashionistas." There are none of the typical presevatives or steroids you often find, and it's even safe enough to eat.
We were fortunate enough to have the opportunity to try a sample of the vedaMAMA Scrumptious, which is the perfect name for it because that's just how our skin feels after using it. The scent is light, and slightly reminiscent of Froot Loops -- a good thing, in our opinion. It's not greasy, and it's actually very fluid going on, but it really keeps our skin feeling nourished and supple.

There are loads of other products to address different skin issues, some which are specifically for moms (like the nipple cream), others are just for babies, and there's even a vedaDUDE line (you know, so your man stops stealing your stuff). Additionally, there's vedaRx to help with a variety of real skin problems.

Skincare this fabulous doesn't come cheap -- a 3 oz. jar of many of the vedaMAMA products will run around $50. However, if you're looking for a yummy product for yourself or a friend, this is a treat worth splurging on.
