Shoes, shoes and more glorious shoes! The best part about fashion week for us isn't the glamorous clothes or the celebritiy sightings -- it's the footwear.

This year there were more than a few pairs that we would literally give an arm, a leg, or both to own. Dior, Balmain, Kira Plastinina and La Perla all had a few little jewels in their shows.


One thing that has really been standing out to us, about shoes in general, is that they no longer seem made to please men. Before, as women many of us would wear stilettos and the like just to show men how sexy we can be. These days women want works of art on their feet -- shoes that make them feel fashionable, not necessarily desirable. Of course, in many cases designers manage to make a heel both of those things in which case we say, "Score!"
