The last time we mentioned anything about IMG supermodel Gemma Ward it was to announce her retirement from the fashion industry at the ripe old age of 20, which she apparently isn't going to do anymore. Our bad.
However, the announcement of a film award that she has just been nominated for may have her considering retiring for real this time:

Last week, nominations for the 2008 Inside Film (IF) Awards in Australia were announced and guess what? Miss Ward ended up snagging a nom for best actress for her debut feature role in Elissa Down's "The Black Balloon", the strory of a boy coping with his brother's mental disability. Who knows. Maybe there is an Oscar in Gemma's future? Hm. Stay tuned!
