Angelina Jolie stars in "The Bible"

At first we did not believe the Drudge Report post about a new version of the Bible called Bible Illuminated: The Book. We doubted that such a book really existed, never mind that it used a photo of Angelina Jolie as one of the illustrations. Turns out we were wrong.
The brainchild of a bunch of godless Ad executives, Bible Illuminated: The Book actually sounds pretty cool. It takes the text of the New Testament, and pairs it dramatic, glossy, magazine style photos.
The original version was published last year in Sweden, where it was first sold in design stores, and was so successful that mainstream bookstores picked it up.
The LA Times reports that this is part of a new trend in secular Bible publishing. Also available? Comic book versions, and an audio version starring Marisa Tomei and Richard Dreyfuss.

OMG, ZZ Top as the three wise men is the BEST! Although, I was sort of thinking of Brad as Father Abraham (you know the song -- Father Abraham had many sons ... many sons had Faaaather Abraham ...). I TOTALLY went to Sunday School.

Why can't any get past the picture of Angelina Jolie and focus on the real issue? It's one page of 280-something. I find the constant focus on Angelina even more offensive than the fact that this is the Bible paired with blatantly disrespectful images.
