Other beauty books are all about how to make yourself attractive for other people. What Not to Wear's Carmindy's Get Positively Beautiful book is not that kind of getting gorgeous guide.

In fact, the book is the polar opposite. Carmindy, in her writing, comes across much as she does on the hit TLC show -- warm, kind and genuinely interested in finding a woman's inner beauty first and foremost.

In this day and age our idea of beauty has become a nightmare for a lot of females. Many of us are desperately trying to fit into a mold that just isn't realistic. But, Carmindy doesn't want you to try and be the same kind of beautiful as everyone else. She wants you to use beauty to enhance your individuality.

Of course, the whole guide is chock full of great tips to help ladies of any age look their best, but at the same time she doesn't just focus on outward appearances -- a Carmindy makeover is about the whole package.

Our absolute favorite part of the whole book comes towards the end in the Everyone Loves a Makeover chapter. There are pages upon pages of women who talk about their insecurities and their best features, and then Carmindy Vision gives them a makeover. We love hearing her talk about how she sees these women, because she truly focuses on the uniqueness that each girl has to offer!
