Botox can cause permanent paralysis - Style Lies

Filed under: Fashion, How to Wear

While you may have heard otherwise, this one (fortunately!) is a lie.

Botox does cause temporary paralysis but nothing that remains after it's been broken down by the body. The body usually breaks down and disposes of Botox in about a six month period, after which, normal facial activity will resume.

Botox is a harsh chemical. It is the same stuff that rat poison is made of (yup, both freeze muscles only the rat poison freezes them so much so that it kills the animal) so it is best left to professionals to administer.
