Bush passes anti-counterfeit bill

Filed under: Fashion, Best of the Season

There's a war going on, the economy is in the pooper, New Orleans is still a disaster zone. But, with all that's going on, George Bush still has time to worry about an issue very close to all Stylelist's readers' hearts -- fashion. Mr. Prez just passed an anti-counterfeit bill!

The new bill will provide funding to hire more FBI officers dedicated to the task of finding and stomping out intellectual property theft. Also, if designers find that they're being "knocked off," so to speak, they will now be able to be awarded up to $2 million (up from $1 million) if they sue and win.

We'll be sad to see Forever 21's design stealing ways over and done with, but at the same time, all's fair in love, war and fashion.
