Get excited for this winter's biggest trend: Gray and bright!
Filed under: Fashion, Best of the Season, Runway Report, Stylish Living
You know all those bright accents you wore this summer? Bright with white was huge, and good news: you can still wear those brights, just pair them with gray. Gray, grey, however you want to spell it, it's in. For example, pair a bright top with the gray suit you see here from Banana Republic. Men, this tip goes for you, too.Gray with bright colors is massive this winter. It's almost a reflection of our economy; not too flashy, trying to be modest, but with a splash of enjoyment. It's fashion's way of celebrating style while remaining tastefully somber about the state of the stock market.
You can recycle quite a few items from last winter's jewel-tone bonanza; just throw on gray pants (or a skirt) and a gray blazer instead of blacks. The delightful advantage of gray over black is that you can mix grays to make a more dynamic, personalized effect--but please, avoid the heathers. We're not there yet.

I do love the occasional grey outfit paired with a beautifully colored shirt. This is perfect for me since I was already doing this without realizing it was in this season. What a great surprise and I do believe that grey looks good on just about everyone.
