Fashion may have "gone ugly," according to the headlines over at Fashion Indie. But, we have to admit we kind of like it. Gone are the days when women dressed solely to impress men. We're now dressing to impress each other and man, that's a tough audience.

So, rather than try and please with perfection, a standard that no woman can achieve -- especially when we're critiquing each other -- designers have chosen to take the opposite route -- they're fugging things up.

Various shows at Fashion Weeks around the world sent outfits down the runway that would look good on no woman -- box shaped dresses, drop crotch pants, impossible to wear heel-less and sole-less shoes, ugly rats nest hair -- there was very little that even vaguely resembled what we know as sexy.

But, nonetheless, any female who has the confidence and swagger necessary to pull of these kinds of styles is sexy in her own right. The fashion blogger scene is chock filled with girls who are tripping over themselves trying to out-ugly the next fashion blogger. Whoever can wear the most hideous outfit -- and make other girls want to run out and buy that very same disaster -- wins.

The fashion industry has taken note -- women don't want to be cute anymore -- weird/fugly is fierce.
