Makeup is toxic - StyleLies
Filed under: Fashion, Beauty, Makeup, How to Wear

In the wake all of this organic, natural hubbub, many people have become alarmed that the makeup they are using is damaging and maybe even toxic. While it is certainly true that your skin does absorb more than half of what you apply to it, organic or not, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulars all makeup to make sure it is safe for skin.
So this myth is false. Fear not friends. Your favorite (not to mention much cheaper) CoverGirl cheeker is perfectly harmless.

I have been doing a lot of reading about toxic skin care and became concerned. My reading material was from a scientific point of view. So I decided to make my own and was pleasantly surprised! I switched to Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Grape Seed Oil and Pure Coconut Oil. If you read the ingredients on a jar of moisturizer, you will find these oils are there. At first I was afraid I would end up with an oily greasy face but not so! My skin drinks it right in and I've never looked younger or healthier. I've even received compliments on my skin. Sun damage has disappeared. Fine lines are gone and my skin has a flawless and even tone. Just a few drops does the trick and if you think you've over done it, just tissue off any excess. Try it for a week and see for yourself!
