Lose 5 pounds fast - Tip of the day!

We've all had those moments when we couldn't zip into our favorite jeans. If you need to lose 5 pounds fast, here are a few easy tips that you even last minute.

1. Release stress and kiss cortisol goodbye: Cortisol is a hormone that *gag* makes you store belly fat. It is often produced at higher levels the more stressed out you are. So do things that ease your stress like simple stretches, yoga, or a massage, eat cortisol lowering dairy like cheddar cheese and pop a B vitamin pack daily.

2. Slim shots: They are a little bit pricey but these appetite controllers can cut intake up to 30% daily.

3. Ease bloat: Exercise, cutting back on salt and sugar intake, and taking a hot bath with a cup of Epsom salt helps decrease the amount of stored water in your bod. If you can afford it, a quickie massage also helps eliminate toxins and bloat too. Also drink plenty of water to flush your system.

4. Get pumped: Literally. A set of pushups and sit-ups will temporarily enhance muscle mass.

5. Contour: A ponytail with a little bit of height at the crown draws the eye back and puts your beautiful bone structure on display. Further play up your features by contouring with makeup. Plenty of brands make contour kits. Swipe the darkest hue under your cheek bone up to the ear, swirl the middle tone onto the apples of your cheeks, and then use the highlighter to span from your apples to meet your ear. Make sure you blend so they don't look like three separate colors.

6. Strike a pose: Ever wondered why celebrities seem to always have one specific pose they stick with? Because these poses are slimming! Keep your head up, chin down, hold arms away from body, and have one foot in front of the other to get a similar celebrity swagger.

7. Spice it up: Certain spices help relieve our bodies of bloat and coax along digestion. And it's as easy as sprinkling them on your favorite foods! Cinnamon helps regulate insulin levels (unregulated sugar levels can result in bloat and extra pounds). Spices like Cayenne pepper and anise help relieve indigestion and are great in moving along the digestive system.

8. Cut carbs: Although we hate the idea of it, the fact is that temporarily cutting carbs is a good solution to shedding pounds quickly. However, it is not healthy to cut them out completely for good so only use this last ditch method for a few day's tops.
