When once dedicated fashion fiends can no longer afford "it" bags and shoes do they give up on their quest of conspicuous shopping? Uh, no silly! They just consume less expensive little do-dads like designer water bottles.Jean Paul Gaultier is temporarily stepping away from his couture atelier to design a limited-edition water bottle for the ever-pretentious Evian company. The design of the bottle was revealed at the Parisian bath house Pontoise, where mannequins donned the designer's ubiquitous mermaid costumes as chic little boys and girls "ohhhed" and "awwwed" over the special Evian container adorned with giant crystals and over-sized lettering.

If you have the discretionary dollars to blow, and darlings, we don't think you do, the JPG drinking creations can be purchased at Harrods, Harvey Nichols, and Selfridges for some egregious amount. Oy.
