At a vice presidential debate watching party, a friend made a very startling discovery: "I think Sarah's pumps are Ferragamo."

What? We immediately dismissed her statement, blaming the random designer name drop on the wine in the box that was in heavy rotation at the little get together. But it appears our inebriated friend may have been on to something:

Sarah Palin's Pricey Wardrobe: Presidential or Shameful?

Politico reports
the Republican National Convention has funneled around $150,000 to Sarah Palin in order to keep her and her family outfitted in clothes and accessories from "elitist" shops like Saks (where they spent $49,425.74) and Neiman Marcus (where they spent a whopping $75,026.63 -- in one visit!). Because that's where all of the "real Americans" shop, you betcha!

Some of the family's purchases include a swanky pacifier for the little one Trig, an expensive suit for the "first dude," and a couple grand towards acquiring Mrs. Palin the best beauty team in politics (no wonder her trendy updo is catching on with celebs!).
