No matter how many of her black and white films we see on AMC or glance over the tons of iconic images featuring her signature deep eye brows and drawn on lips, there's only one thing that comes to our mind when we think of film legend Joan Crawford: "No wire hangers ever!"
How fair that is? We're not sure (ask Cristine!). But Faye Dunnwaye's rage about those hangers in Mommie Dearest was palpable and lately we've seen that same fiery affect resurface in many shoeaholics over the past few months, and quite frankly, we're getting a little scared.
They are millions of them revolting at fashion's most directional designers and the stores that stock their expensive booty. Why? The six and seven heels that people like Christian Louboutin, Marc Jacobs, and Prada make are killing their feet and good posture with every teetering and painful step they take.
Recently, the Wall Street Journal caught up with Andree Aellon Brooks -- a self-proclaimed shoe hag -- laments on her tragic situation, switching from pumps to flats. Ah, where's the outrage! In this clip, watch as Brooks attempts to cope with her new life.
