Vogue's idea of "budget" is absurd

Filed under: Fashion, Designers & Brands

The economy may be affecting your wallet but from the looks of it, Vogue still hasn't taken a hit. This month they try and give a helpful hand to the more budget conscious of us -- and fail miserably.

A headline on the cover of the November issue reads, "Chic destinations for the Wallet-Conscious."

Those "wallet conscious," suggestions include, but aren't limited to:
  • $10,500/week hacienda in Mexico
  • $8,300/week house in Marrakech
The verdict: Anna Wintour should stick to what she does best -- making us drool over dresses, shoes and purses that we'll never be able to afford. Let's leave the budget ideas to people who struggle to pay the mortgage -- not designer outfits.
