Barneys New York hangs election preferences in the window

For the last few months, we haven't been able to watch our favorite show or take a walk through our neighborhood without being subjected to everyone's political opinions. And now, even going to Barneys New York makes a political statement.

Earlier this week, workers hung portraits of 43 first ladies in the Barneys windows, all painted by Laurie Munn. And in case you wondered which side of the political spectrum Barneys was on, the portraits of the two prospective first ladies tells the story.

Michelle Obama is painted smiling happily, looking straight out, with soft features and lighting. Cindy McCain, on the other hand, looks sharp and angular, and is looking off to the side while appearing to cackle. Or maybe that's just our perception -- check them out for yourself here.
