Split ends be gone with conditioner - Stylelies

Filed under: Hair Care, Cuts & Style, Fashion, Beauty, Hair, Makeup, How to Wear

We've all heard that conditioning hair with this or that can repair split ends. While many of these products can marry split ends together to produce a temporarily healthy look, none of them are permanent fixes. The only way to repair a split end is to cut it all the way up the hair shaft. If you don't want split ends, prevention is key.

Split ends occur due to many factors like:

• Over processing

• Dying or processing too frequently

• Over shampooing

• Every day styling

To reduce the risk of split ends, wash hair every other day. If you must dye, dye no more than every 6 – 8 weeks. If you must style, give you hair at least one style and product free day per week. On this day apply a moisturizing hair mask for at least 15 minutes (sleeping in it is even better).

If you can't give up any of these things, prepare to cut hair several inches to get rid of all the dead ends.
