Michelle Obama to be Vogue cover girl?
Filed under: CELEBRITY STYLE, Celebrity, News

It sounds like we might see a forty-something, realistically shaped, African American woman on the cover of Vogue. Pinch us, we must be dreaming.
In a soup of magazine gossip, New York Magazine reports that a Vogue spokesperson told WWD that they're eager to include Michelle Obama in an upcoming issue.
Apparently photographing the first lady has been a tradition since Eleanor Roosevelt. But only Hillary Clinton ever made it to the cover, so Michelle will be in very exclusive company if she agrees to do a cover shot.
What's different this time is Michelle's status as a fashion icon, and how much Vogue editors Anna Wintour and André Leon Talley love the Obamas.
We can't wait to see if she goes J. Crew, or if they talk her into something a little more glamorous.
Also, will Anna Wintour require MIchelle to lose weight, like she supposedly did with Oprah in 1998? Michelle doesn't seem like the type who would diet for anyone but herself, but Anna Wintour can be scary!

I love her style, especially the mix of high-low designers. The designer who made her DNC dress, Thakoon, is launching a diffusion line for Target that I think works for most figures, regardless of if you're young or old. Very classic and elegant silhouttes that can be work for spring/summer or fall/winter if you layer. Plus, you can get great shoes at Target to with everything: http://www.fantastictoe.com/dcdiva/all-hail-the-new-fashionista-in-chief-get-michelle-obamas-look-for-less.html. Can't wait till it's out in December!
