We love the illusion of this Aesa necklace. From far away, it looks like a collection of beaded strands. But on closer inspection, you'll find that the strands are actually twists of dyed silk.

The necklace is the creation of Aesa's Randi Mates, a New York-based designer who has a background in classic Greek and Roman metalwork.

While her traditional training informs the craftsmanship of Aesa pieces, we appreciate this unexpected twist on the classic, multi-strand necklace. The colors are reminiscent of cotton candy, and the space-dyed silk perfectly captures the ombre trend that's so big this winter and fall.
