Kate Winslet and the Parade Cover - New Photoshop Shenanigans!

We haven't seen her reaction yet, but we have a feeling that Kate Winslet is not going to be pleased about the drastic Photoshop job on the cover of the latest issue of Parade Magazine. Good grief! They made her look like a country western singer who's had too much work done!As we've discussed here many times, Kate is adamantly anti-Photoshoping/airbrushing/doing anything fake to images of her. Looking at the cover, plus the "exclusive" images that ran inside, which were even more touched up, we can't believe that Kate would have approved these.

Ironically the article is very "warts and all" -- she smokes! she drinks! she has wrinkles on her forehead, which actually moves! Once again, Kate comes across as a grounded, normal and fun person. The super-touched up photos are an odd accompaniment to the story.

With two new movies coming out, Revolutionary Road and The Reader, we'll be seeing many more cover stories about Kate. Will she bother to continue waging her one woman campaign against Photoshopping? Or will she be overwhelmed by the marketing machines that demand wrinkle, sag and dark circle-free faces for the newsstands?

Our money is on Kate to come out swinging. What do you think?
