Double your wardrobe by wearing your clothes upside down
Filed under: Fashion, Best of the Season
Jennine, the uber-stylish blogger behind The Coveted, has been doing something interesting lately - she's taken to wearing her clothes upside down. It looks better than it sounds - here she turns a sweater dress into a cowl-neck crop top. It's pure genius!
We like her theory that wearing clothes differently "elevates your IQ by encouraging experimentation." It's also good for the earth. In her words,
Part of being green is buying organic, sustainable fabrics, vintage, recycled...getting the most wear between washes. You can be the most green by buying nothing at all. How do you keep up when you aren't buying anything new? Like an artist turning the canvas to get new perspective, I've seemed to taken a liking to turning my clothes around...It undoubtedly takes a certain level of confidence to pull this off, but since it doesn't cost anything, we're willing to give it a shot. How about you?
UPDATE: A big thank you to reader Nuala who pointed us to another blogger who does this, fellow Bostonian Dreamecho.

Hi! Great post. I love The Coveted! Jennine does a wonderful job. One thing though -- I think she got the upside-down trick from dreamecho, who did this last year:

Jennine even complimented her on the idea at the time! dreamecho does a lot of twists like this....

I'm a big, big fan of both of their blogs, and I really like what you're doing. Keep up the good work!

This is awesome. But Little Edie Beale was really the first to do this, let's give her some credit now ;)
