The Lomography Society has been fighting to save film photography against the trend of digital image capture since 1992. The Lomo LC-A was the original product to fuel interest, but Hoga, SuperSampler, and LC-A Fisheye are among the contemporary classics in the company's catalog (and easily available online). As a group, the cameras are generally simple and intuitive to use while producing a final product that is more precious, personal, and rare than a mass of digital imagery.
The Lomography Pop-Up Shop, 41 West 8th Street, New York City, though Jan 6, 2009, Mon-Sat (10 AM–9 PM) Su (11 AM-7 PM). In addition to offering the current collections and limited products (like the Chromiac editions shown above), there's also workshops including a Russian themed walking tour and Russian themed discount programs.
