As we first predicted a couple of months, designer Alexander Wang would win the 2008 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund prize even though the competition was fairly steep this year.

And you know what? We were right! Not only did our boy take away one of fashion's most prestigious prizes last month but he also snagged a year's-worth of business mentoring from an industry insider and $200,000!

Some of the other nominees walked away with covetable booty as well. Lisa Mayock and Sophie Buhai of Vena Cava and Albertus Q Swanepoel of Albertus Quartus were named runners-up and will each receive $50,000 and a business mentor.
